The Bush Administration finally gets something right.
I'm talking about new security guidelines from the Office of Management and Budget that require agencies to encrypt data on laptops and handheld computers unless it is "non-sensitive." With all the news about data breaches – veterans records in the wild -- it's about time.
You can view the new guidelines here. The guidelines are not to be taken as simply recommendations, but requirements that must be implemented in 45 days.
