Fed telework still stifled

A new survey from CDW's government sales division, CDW-G, found federal agencies still have a bad attitude about telework.

The survey of 139 federal employees and 148 government IT workers--conducted online and in-person at car pool and lunch locations federal workers frequent--found 87 percent would telework if given the chance.

But 35% said they aren't eligible to telework; 14% weren't sure if they could.

Only 36% of respondents had been given the telework option, and only 19% have used technology to work away from the office.

Hard to believe. Sounds like numbers we'd have seen a couple of years ago. Come on guys!!

Now that OPM director Kay Cole James is gone, maybe we'll see some action?
