Verizon accelerates apps


NetworkWorld.com, 05/26/06

Verizon Business this week launched a suite of services designed to help companies enhance the performance of the applications on their Web sites.

The new managed offerings, called Application Acceleration Services, accelerate the delivery of enterprise and e-commerce software applications, such as e-mail and online shopping carts. The services can also accommodate additional application traffic without increasing bandwidth or data center resources, Verizon Business says, and require no changes to the customer’s application or infrastructure.

Verizon Business has partnered with Netli, a developer and provider of application acceleration systems, to deliver its Application Acceleration Services.
