Climbing Everest with wireless notebooks

But not just any wireless notebooks: they're Panasonic's ruggedized Toughbooks with a satellite link.

The expedition is by the Everest Peace Project, which reached the mountain's summit last week and is now heading back. The multinational group of climbers, who intended the climb to "unite the world on top of the world," has been blogging the climb, checking weather conditions, and posting photos and video on the expedition Web site.
