Logitech for Business has been busy improving the business user's experience for "the last inch" with additions to its unified communications peripherals product portfolio. In the last month it has announced integrated phone and video products designed to work with Cisco Jabber.
The Logitech UC Solution for Cisco 725-C brings together three new products: the Logitech UC Keyboard K725-C with dedicated keys for managing calls on a computer or virtual desktop, the full-HD Logitech C920-C Webcam and an ergonomically-shaped Logitech M525-C Wireless Mouse. The specially adapted keyboard has nine dedicated phone and video-control keys for quickly answering, ending and muting calls, directly from the desktop -- along with an LCD display screen that shows caller ID for incoming calls, call duration, and other traditional information found on the telephone today. The Logitech C920-C Webcam offers up to 1080p high-definition video at 30 frames a second with on-board H.264 processing, a wide 78-degree field of view, stereo microphones, a privacy shutter and technology designed to compensate for poor lighting conditions.

In a separate product release, Logitech also unveiled its Logitech Webcam C930e, featuring full 1080p resolution, an extra-wide 90-degree field of view, support for the H.264 SVC and UVC 1.5 video encoding standards and high-definition digital pan-tilt-zoom. The webcam uses Carl Zeiss-certified glass lens engineered to avoid "fish eye" distortion that often detracts from wide-angle images. The webcam is optimized for Microsoft Lync, compatible with Cisco, Skype and most unified communications and videoconferencing applications.
And in its latest release for business grade UC products, Logitech today announced a portfolio of desktop video and audio devices optimized for Microsoft Lync. These products include the Logitech® USB Headset H650e with wideband audio, noise cancellation, digital signal processing (DSP), acoustic echo cancellation and a dynamic equalizer designed to improve sound quality when switching between voice and music.
Commenting on these latest developments in a statement, Eric Kintz, senior vice president and general manager of Logitech for Business, said, "There's no such thing as a typical office anymore. Work is increasingly spread among virtual teams, and workers are part of more of these teams than ever before. This makes enterprise-grade video and audio crucial to productivity and team effectiveness."
