Man tries to pass off rib recipe as inspection sticker

Massachusetts police department shares with Twitter followers

The Twitter account of the Salisbury (Mass.) Police Department shared this tasty little morsel on Friday: a photograph of a clipping about recipes for short ribs that a motorist was allegedly pawning off as a car inspection sticker.

"A suspect tried to pass this off as a valid inspection sticker on his car tonight," reads the tweet. "Needless to say he was arrested."

Another Twitter user suggested - and Salisbury's police department confirmed - that the alleged violator would have been better off, at least financially, had he driven without any sticker at all, because that draws a $50 fine rather than an arrest.
