Steve Jobs to make surprise appearance at iPad event tomorrow?

What started out as a sketchy rumor about Steve Jobs showing up at tomorrows iPad event has turned into a full-fledged possibility. Originally sourced to an Italian website claiming to have been tipped of that the Apple CEO would appear on state tomorrow at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the report was later corroborated by Kara Swisher of All Things D.

What started out as a sketchy rumor about Steve Jobs showing up at tomorrows iPad event has turned into a full-fledged possibility. Originally sourced to an Italian website claiming to have been tipped of that the Apple CEO would appear on state tomorrow at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the report was later corroborated by Kara Swisher of All Things D.

According to several sources close to the situation, Apple CEO Steve Jobs–who is on a health-related leave from the company–is definitely considering an appearance at its big iPad 2 event tomorrow.

If he did appear, sources said Jobs would at least make a brief appearance onstage, along with other top company execs in showing off Apple’s latest version of it hugely popular tablet.

Though Jobs' health has been a hot topic over the past few weeks, there have been recent sightings of Jobs on Apple's Cupertino campus and the Apple CEO reportedly remains involved in product development from his Palo Alto abode. Not too long ago, Jobs made headlines in Apple circles when he attended a tech-oriented dinner with President Barack Obama along with other tech heavyweights like Eric Schmidt and Larry Ellison.
