Slide Rocket: Create, Collaborate and share your slideshows in the cloud

A SaaS solution for creating stunning presentations

In our new era of cloud computing and SaaS offerings some solutions that are being offered just make great sense. Such is the case with a SaaS cloud solution I found recently called SlideRocket. Now SlideRocket as I found out has been around since 2006, this seems to be one of those that got away from me at first. SlideRocket is a web based presentation tool that works on Windows Mac and Linux browsers. Creating presentations was easy and I was very impressed with the full media integration. Not only can you add a full range media to your presentations but also you can search within the application online for more video, images, and such to add your presentations. SlideRocket is also meant to be a collaborative tool so you can work together or share whole presentations or even individual slides. The transitions and effects were a lot better than what I have seen ever. I really enjoyed the fact that I could import a PowerPoint presentation into SlideRocket and as they say, “set my presentation on fire”. SlideRocket offers the ability to not only create and collaborate, but you can host a remote meeting and collect analytics for your slideshow to help you understand its effectiveness. Slideshows can be presented on and offline and being that they are in the cloud you can easily access a presentation anytime. User control allows you to lock down presentations and assign permissions to edit presentations. As if that were not cool enough the company today debuted the Sales & Marketing Edition, which has added some great new features like: • Enterprise-level Sharing, Permissions and Controls • Internal Collaboration • Slide Groups • Branded Templates • Portable Presentations • Enhanced Analytics SlideRocket is offered as a free, personal, or business edition (which is only $20 per month, per user with an annual contract). SlideRocket is a pretty awesome way to create, collaborate and share your slideshows in the cloud.
