More Google 'beta' apps leaving the nest?

Regular readers may recall a post from last fall that showed nearly half of 49 Google products carried a "beta" tag, including some golden oldies such as Gmail. The item drew quite a bit of attention, in part because Google's explanation for the practice made very little sense.

Now it seems the search giant is going to take the training wheels off more of its applications, according to this story from the IDG News Service. "It's a minor annoyance and something you'll see addressed in the not-too-distant future," said Matt Glotzbach, product management director for Google's enterprise products.
