Array Networks' TMX5000 summary
Array Networks' TMX5000 continues to offer value as a Web front-end device.
| ||||
Even though Array officials indicated to us that the company is repositioning itself away from the application-acceleration market to home in on the product it offers in the SSL VPN space, its TMX5000 still offers solid value for the money as a Web front-end device. The TMX5000 posted some of the highest transaction rates of any system tested (see scalability test results), even though the device offers only one interface apiece on client- and server-facing networks.
On the downside, the device can't apply HTTP compression selectively to given networks (see services test results), and it can't filter traffic by application-layer criteria such as URLs (see features comparison).
