Microsoft Vista SP1 download available

Meeting its promise of a March delivery, Microsoft posted Vista SP1 to its Download Center Web site Monday, reports ZDnet

 U.K. Online retailer Amazon said boxed version of Microsoft's desktop IS with SP1 will be available for sale in the United States on Wednesday. Microsoft said the service pack will be pushed out via automatic updates to all Vista users next month, reports ZDnet. The update is expected to improve Vista's performance.
