How to configure the Cisco ATA 186 for static IP addresses if DHCP is not possible

In order to configure your Cisco ATA 186 for static IP addresses if DHCP is not possible, perform these steps using the voice Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menu:

1. Press 20# for DHCP. Press 0# to disable DHCP.
2. Press 1# for the IP address and enter the IP address using an asterisk (*) for the dot and end with the number sign (#). For example, 192*1*1*1#.
3. Press 2# for the network route address. For example, 192*1*1*2#.
4. Press 10# for the subnet mask. For example, 255*255*255*0#.
