News regarding the recipients of this year's earlier CCIE scholarships:
According to Brian McGahan CCIE #8593 (R&S/SP/Security) at Internetwork Expert, the recipients of the CCIE scholarships earlier this year were a U.S. Army Officer and a 21-year old student from Angola. Since the recipients were selected only last August, it's still a bit too early to gauge progress, as earning the CCIE certification is usually at least a 6-8 month process at best.
Additionally, 4 scholarship finalists received full Internetwork Expert End-to-End Programs. They were from Bangladesh, Israel, Scotland and the USA.
Furthermore, 3 individuals received honorable mentions that provided free access to upcoming Internetwork Expert CCIE Routing & Switching Online Classes and significant IE discounts. Those recipients were from Canada, Senegal and the USA.
