How feasible is it to swap CCIE lab exam dates?

CCIE Lab Dates Forum
Became intrigued by the above website, CCIE Lab Dates Exchange, which according to the website states:
Welcome to my little experiment... I've noticed that it is getting increasingly hard to get CCIE lab dates. Many people end up taking it too soon, or waiting too long, simply based on the dates that are available. There have been a smattering of requests, in all the various forums, for a centralized place where candidates can coordinate exchanging dates they have reserved. I'm going to try this using just categories; Voice, R&S, Security, Service Provider, and Storage. Under each heading a candidate can request a date (or range of dates) and a facilty, and what date and facility they have to offer. You'll have to subscribe to the thread comment, so you'll know if someone respond to your request. Exchanges can be coordinated by the interested parties off-line from the forum. Let's give this a try.

Curiously, there was absolutely no activity on the CCIE Lab Dates Exchange website.

Then noticed GroupStudy.com had a thread on CCIE lab date swaps that did appear to be active.

GroupStudy.com
After investigating further, learned many of the GroupStudy.com CCIE lab exam date swap posts received no reply and were also quite old.

However, did discover 3 active CCIE lab exam date swapping websites: CCIE Voice Lab Date Swaps CCIE Security Lab Date Swaps CCIE Routing and Switching Lab Date Swaps

So I took the CCIE lab exam date trade issue to Cisco in hopes of learning just how feasible CCIE lab exam date exchanges really are.

Lang Tibbils
Lang Tibbils - PR Manager Corporate Communications for Cisco, provided the following response from Cisco: "According to the policies that govern our CCIE certification date swapping is not allowed." "If you give up a date you must reschedule via the online system." "If another candidate wants that date they must request it via the online tool." "A photo ID is required for the lab test and thus the ID must match the individual registered."

"Our lab backlog varies by location, but on average is 1-3 months." "Our no show ratio is very low given candidates are charged if they don't show, so many simply reschedule." "We are aware of the lab backlog and continue to work on expanding lab capacity." "CCIEs don't have to take the lab test when recertifying." "New CCIEs have 18-months to schedule their lab test after passing the written." CCIE Lab Exam Links:
