Apple eliminates 32 GB iPhone models from new product lineup

Apple's new iPhone 6 lineup has no 32GB option

Apple's new iPhone lineup is without question the best we've seen yet, both in terms of the form factors available and the under-the-hood specs. Making Apple's product lineup even more appealing is that Apple has done away with the 32GB capacity models, thus giving users more bang for their buck in terms of storage capacity.

In years past, base model iPhones were priced at $199 for 16GB and $299 for 32GB. This time around, the base model iPhone 6 is still priced at $199, but now consumers can get the 64GB model for $299. That's an extra 32GB for the same $299 price point -- not too shabby. What's more, Apple with the iPhone 6 has made a 128GB model available for the first time -- and priced at $399.

With respect to the iPhone 6 Plus, the base model starts at 16GB for $299. For just $100 more, users can pick up an iPhone 6 Plus with 64GB of storage capacity. The 128GB model will retail for $499.

So, all in all, Apple with its new iPhone lineup has ditched the 32GB model. Note, though, that the 32GB iPhone 5s will remain available.
