Apple MacBook

Key features: Faster CPUs, more powerful Nvidia-based graphics processing, glass multi-touch trackpad, more memory and disk; higher end model with ultra-thin LED backlit display. More info .

Apple MacBook Pro

Key features: As with the lower end of the MacBook line: more powerful CPUs, the Nvidia graphics chip, including a second separate Nvidia chip, more disk and memory, glass trackpad; higher resolution 15-inch (LED backlit display) and 17-inch screens. More info .

Apple MacBook Air

Key features: Essentially the same overall notebook unveiled in early 2008, the new models also use the Nvidia graphics chip, and nearly doubling disk storage, and more than tripling the capacity of the solid state disk in the high-end model. More info .

Sun/Fujitsu Sparc Enterprise T5440 server

Key features: Sun Microsystems has doubled the capacity of its Niagara servers with the four-socket Sparc Enterprise T5440 system, designed for running corporate databases and ERP applications. The server houses up to four of Sun's UltraSparc T2 Plus processors, up from two in the previous model, and expands the main memory to a maximum 512G bytes. Each processor has eight cores that can each run eight computing threads, or sets of software instructions, simultaneously. The servers are also sold by Sun partner Fujitsu. More info .

Unisys ClearPath Dorado 700

Key features: The Dorado 700, one of several new mainframe-class servers, is the most powerful system to run Unisys's OS 2200 operating system. Unisys is also introducing two mid-range mainframes, the ClearPath Libra 4000 for $750,000, available on Nov. 17; and a ClearPath Dorado 4000 for $498,000, available Oct. 31. The Dorado 700 is based on Unisys's own CMOS processors, while the mid-range mainframes are based on quad-core Intel Xeon processors. More info .

Symantec Veritas Cluster Server One

Key features: Described as a high availiability and disaster recovery platform for next generation data centers, Cluster Server One is designed to simplify deployment and management of disaster recovery services and address both physical and virtual hardware. More info here .

Toshiba Satellite U405 WiMax-enabled laptop

Key features: Intel Centrino 2-based chipset, Intel WiMAX/Wi-Fi Link, 13.3-inch widescreen display, high-speed eSATA/USB combination port, built-in Webcam with facial recognition security, 320GB hard drive, 4GB RAM, Windows Vista Home Premium. More info here .

Nortel Business Services Gateway 8

Key features: SIP gateway for SMBs that integrates routing, switching, firewall, VPN and intrusion detection, and analog telephony adapter capabilities in a single platform. More info .

Dell PowerVault DL2000

Key features: A hardware-and-software bundle that automates disk-to-disk backup and recovery. The product comes installed with either CommVault Software or Symantec Backup Exec. More info here .

Cisco WVC210

Key features: Wireless Internet surveillance camera for small/medium businesses. It sends live video through the Internet to a web browser, allowing SMBs to monitor businesses for loss prevention, safety and security, and remote surveillance of high traffic areas such as point-of-sale, front lobbies, delivery docks and main entryways. Key features: ZyXEL's sleek WiMAX modem designed for Sprint Xohm subscribers in residential and home office deployments; think of it as high-powered wireless DSL; two Ethernet ports to connect your computer or Wi-Fi access point; two VoIP ATA ports are currently inactive, planned for future use. Plantronics Audio 630M (shown) and 615M USB headset

Key features: These unified communications headsets are optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator. Wideband is used to improve the sound quality of this headset, which connects to a PC via USB.
