Google Chrome

Key features: Google's new browser is designed to be clean and fast, with improved speed and responsiveness. Chrome keeps each tab in an isolated "sandbox" to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. Chrome boasts a more powerful JavaScript engine, V8, to power the next generation of web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers. Chrome is currently available for Windows only (Mac and Linux versions are in the works). Another feature is open source (includes components from Apple's WebKit and Mozilla's Firefox). Key features: Provides insight into the performance and availability of physical and individual virtual servers via agent-less monitoring capabilities; collects management data to automate event monitoring; and connects to VMware ESX Server to configure monitoring of virtual machines. VKernel SearchMyVM

Key features: A "Google-like" interface enables users to search more than 75 attributes across virtual machines, hosts, clusters, storage, resource pools, files, snapshots, VMware tools, applications and configuration information. More info .

Service-now.com IT Service Management Suite

Key features: Workflow functionality provides customers with the ability to drag and drop all system tasks; enhanced user interface includes a system diagnostics page that provides at-a-glance stats for an instance or a cluster; suite combines ITIL version 3 recommendations with Web 2.0 technology delivered in a software-as-a-service model. BMC Run Book Automation VMware Adapter

Key features: Enables IT staff to automate common tasks across VMware virtual environments. More info here .

Gambit Communications MIMIC Virtual Lab CCNA 3.42

Key features: Ability to configure VLANs with the support for the protocol Rapid-PVST; hands-on experience with Cisco Routers (2811, 3640 and 7206) and Cisco Switches (2950, 3550 and 6500); support for configuration of Frame Relay mappings and for IPv6 addressing and commands in addition to IPv4. Fortisphere Virtual Essentials 2.0

Fluke Networks

Key features: Improves delivery of business services by pinpointing the root cause of network performance issues with a new high-end application performance appliance and a software analytics engine. More info here .

Panda Software

Key features: This 2009 edition of Panda Software's anti-virus and desktop security software includes a scanner that proactively monitors for any attempts to steal data, behavior-based malware detection and a parental-control mechanism to set children's use of the Internet. More info here .

Novell Compliance Management Platform

Key features: Combines two of Novell's existing server-based products, Identity Manager 3.6 and Sentinel 6.1, to make provisioning and access control a monitored activity kept in conformance with business security policy. More info here .

Trend Micro Communication and Collaboration Security

Key features: This security-software package combines ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange and Trend Micro's instant-messaging security software, which adds support for the latest version of Microsoft Office Communications Server, to provide integrated management protection for Exchange and Sharepoint, using Trend Micro's SmartProtection reputation services. SMC Networks

Key features: This is an update of a previous model, both aimed at the SMB market and designed for quick, simple Wi-Fi hotspot deployments in hotel, restaurant, resort and other common areas. As before, it supports 54Mbps 802.11g (and 11b) clients, has a built-in 4-port 10/100 LAN switch, a WAN port (for Ethernet or DSL), and supports Power-over-Ethernet. What's new is support for robust authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) services for wireless and wired clients, and an Ethernet interface for the gateway's bundled point-of-sale printer/keyboard (previously tethered only via a printer cable) for tickets and receipts. Surgient Virtual Automation Platform 6.0

Key features: Enables self-service capabilities that lets end users reserve, provision and access computing environments based on their needs and schedules. More info here .
