Danske Bank allows company to reach APIC milestone

Cisco is celebrating its 1,000th SDN customer, Danske Bank of Copenhagen, Denmark. Cisco landed 100 additional customers for its Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC), the brains of its Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) SDN offering, in the past two months.

SDN rival VMware, at last count, had over 700 customers for its NSX networking virtualization platform at the close of the second quarter.

Cisco had 4,100 customers for its Nexus 9000 switching line at the close of its 2015 fiscal year in late July. The Nexus 9000 is the hardware underlay for ACI.
