Snom technology has introduced a new portfolio of IP-PBXs to its products with the launch of the IP PBX snom ONE. The snom ONE is available in three versions. The aptly named “snom ONE free” is available for free as a download or on CD for use with up to 10 extensions. For businesses that need more than 10 extensions, two systems are available: the snom ONE yellow supports up to 20 extensions and lists for $895. The snom ONE blue is priced at $1,495 and services an unlimited number of extensions and up to five multi-tenant locations). All versions offer the same features, differing only based on the maximum number of extensions supported.
The products are all software-based and work on Windows, Linux and MAC OS computers to provide both Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking or PSTN connectivity. The software is designed to be plug and play with snom’s phones.
Commenting in a statement on why the company is expanding from making phones to also offer an IP PBX, Jonathan Greenwood, the snom ONE product manager said, “In the past we’ve experienced problems with customers missing out on some of the key features delivered by our phones, due to the installed IP-PBX systems. This is our response to the many compelling requests by resellers and users in recent years.”
Snom was founded in 1996 with headquarters in Germany and offices in Italy, France and in the United States. Sales and service for its SIP phones and new IP PBX portfolio will be provided by its channel of more than 200 authorized reseller partners in 60 countries worldwide.
