Polycom has added to its telepresence solutions portfolio with three new offerings: Polycom EagleEye Director now provides a room camera tracking system, the company’s new HDX 4500 offers improved efficiency with executive desktop teleconferencing, and the Polycom Telepresence m100 software delivers PC-based mobile telepresence.

Polycom’s EagleEye Director uses voice triangulation, face-finding technology and a dual-camera tracking system to deliver “face-to-face” communications, ensuring the speaking party is always highlighted. The automated features eliminate the need for participants to make camera adjustments during a call.

Since the software operates on a PC of laptop and it is reasonably price, it is well suited for SMBs and small team deployments. In addition to support for personal HD and video systems, the software supports content sharing, firewall traversal options.
