News outfits, vendors, others compelled to use colorful cloud imagery whenever discussing cloud computing
Network World is not immune to the powerful forces that require anyone writing about cloud computing to accompany said writing with colorful cloud images, like the one immediately below for our latest Enterprise Cloud Services coverage:
Though usually at some point, once a topic is peaking or has been exhausted, we issue a moratorium on using such images. Think using a Can of Spam image with stories about email spam.
I ran a quick Google image search on “cloud computing” and have to say I was bitterly disappointed that the images weren’t anywhere near as tortured as I’d envisioned.
