Google declines comment on apparent take-down of photo that was posted to Google+

The Google public relations department has gotten back to me regarding the apparent take-down of a picture posted by Lockergnome founder Chris Pirillo on Google+ that – as you can see — features a LEGO stormtrooper dutifully defending his girlfriend’s mountainous terrain. Google didn’t have anything useful to say in response to my questions – no comment — but this does give me another opportunity to type a string of words I never would have imagined stringing together: “cleavage-snuggling LEGO stormtrooper.”

All kidding aside, there is something of a significant issue here for Google+ and its swelling user community: If Google+ did indeed deem Pirillo’s picture a TOS violation — if this particular photo is judged to be over the Google+ line — then that line needs to be reconsidered because it’s clearly going to keep out of Google+ an awful lot of material that very few people will find objectionable?

Not to mention the fact that LEGO stormtroopers deserve more respect.
