Stars of Star Trek, Jetsons, Futurama, Lost in Space and old movies and TV shows get psychedelic
My favorite sighting during a recent visit to the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum and sculpture park in Lincoln, Mass., was Natalie Lanese’s spectacular acrylic paint-and-collage mural dubbed Retro Future. The brightly colored artwork features a mix of real and fictional spacemen and spacewomen, along with oodles of cheesy robots and spacecraft. It’s a blast recognizing new and old favorites, though trying to recall which lame B-movie you saw some of these characters in can be maddening!
