Watch out NHL players, there's new competition in town and her name is Jennifer
While more and more professional athletes seem like robots these days when you hear them in interviews, an actual hockey playing robot has been designed by a team at the University of Manitoba Autonomous Agents Laboratory.
While you might notice an Ethernet cable in this video, that’s only there for debugging and the robot would run fine without it.
Jennifer the robot humanoid, the school’s entry in the 2012 DARwIn-OP Humanoid Appliance Challenge, shows off some pretty mad skating skills here:
