Everyone has their priorities in life
endif; ?>We’ve collected a bunch of Reuters photos taken today – from New York, London, Berlin, Munich, Hong Kong and Tokyo — showing people waiting in line for and holding triumphantly their shiny new iPads.
Here’sthe slideshow.
Twice I have camped out on a sidewalk overnight to be among the first in line for something I really, really wanted.
One was to land a government-backed, low-interest mortgage for first-time homebuyers. That saved me thousands of dollars over the 15 years I owned my former condo.
The other, just weeks after I started college, was to get tickets for the 1975 World Series. Enough said about that.
Never have I even thought about camping out to be the first on my block to own an electronic gadget.
To each his own, though.
