But the Internet she can be a fickle beast

A post this morning on the private blog of Search Engine Land’s Danny Sullivan demonstrates anew that there are more ways to be confounded and annoyed on the Internet than there are Wikipedia articles (and there are 3,914,101 of those).

Sullivan’s tale of woe involves the fact that his active user name on the Y Combinator site Hacker News is sullivandanny instead of dannysullivan, even though he registered the latter as well as the former and would greatly prefer to be using the latter today.
