Pictures of solar-powered aircraft beginning milestone flight

Solar Impulse now in Madrid

We’ve collected some Reuters photos taken yesterday of the sun-powered aircraft Solar Impulse readying for takeoff from an airfield in Switzerland. The plane made it successfully to Madrid early this morning and will now be prepped for the first transcontinental flight powered solely by the sun. You can see the pictures here.
