Last week, Sotheby's announced that it was auctioning off an interesting number of documents that don't originate from the annals of Apple lore, but from Steve Jobs pre-Apple when he worked at Atari.
Items from Apple lore, such as the original Apple 1 or the 3-page contract which was drawn up by Apple co-founder Ron Wayne and served as the basis for Apple Computer, typically sell for tens of thousands of dollars at auction houses.

The document in question is the earliest known handwritten note from the Apple co-founder. It dates back to 1974 when Steve Jobs worked at Atari. The note, which is part of a five page memo, includes handwritten circuit designs along with Jobs’ suggestions for a soccer game as it pertains to the alignment of defensive players. And for you video game enthusiasts/historians out there, the game in question was Atari World Cup Football.
The note will go up for auction on June 15 with Sotheby’s estimating it will go for up to $15,000.
