Sprint last week announced the arrival of their highly anticipated LTE service to 15 new cities.
“Sprint and our vendors have been deploying Network Vision sites all across the country for the last several months and we are thrilled to deliver our new network to our customers today in and around Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, San Antonio and Waco,” Sprint Senior VP Bob Azzi said in a press release. “This new network is performing extremely well and customers should find it consistent, reliable and really fast.”
In addition to Kansas City – an obvious choice given that’s where Sprint is headquartered, the additional 14 cities getting that LTE love include San Antonio; Athens, Georgia, Calhoun, Georgia, Carrollton, Georgia; Newnan, GA: Rome, GA; Dallas; Fort Worth; Huoston; Granbury-Hood County, TX; Huntsville, TX; Waco, TX; and finally St. Joseph, Missouri.
Expect more LTE coverage across additional cities later this year. And of course, I’d be remiss without mentinoing that the upcoming iPhone 5, which according to the latest reports has already entered production, will feature 4G LTE support.
