Designer's iPad tablet concept brings back the clickety-clack

An Edinburgh, Scotland product designer named Austin Yang has concocted an Apple iPad add-on that lets you convert your tablet into a typewriter, complete with the clickety-clack noises.

The iTypewriter features a capacitive touch hammer that bangs away on the iPad screen, though because it doesn’t exactly match up with the keyboard, typing is painfully slow (you’ve been warned: quiet the video below after a few seconds). The typist knocks out the following words: “This is itypewriter for iPad. User can enjoy the old feeling”

Yang has also designed a turntable-based iPhone dock.
