250-foot vessel launched, with iMacs in the control room
endif; ?>Steve Jobs’ dream yacht, Venus, has hit the water in The Netherlands more than a year after the Apple co-founder’s death.
The blog One More Thing has the scoop on this news, including that the 250-foot yacht with aluminum exterior features seven 27-inch iMacs in its wheelhouse for controlling the vessel. There’s also a picture of a special iPod Shuffle engraved with the word Venus for those who worked on the yacht.
The design and construction took some six years. Jobs worked on the project with minimalist French designer Philippe Starck.
