Newspaper Web sites accessible to all for free during Sandy
The New York Times and Wall Street Journal have temporarily dropped their Web site pay walls as Hurricane Sandy pounds the East Coast.

Journal coverage here. And I’m not sure why, but the Journal has switched from the prominent banner announcing the free access that you see in the photo above to a small one just like the Times.
