It looks like the iPhone will finally be coming to T-Mobile
T-Mobile, via Deutsche Telekom, announced yesterday that it will begin selling Apple products beginning in 2013.
In the coming year, T-Mobile USA will continue to reinforce its market presence with additions to its rate plan and product portfolio, including Apple products. “Following on from the preceding steps such as the spectrum swap with Verizon, the towers deal with Crown Castle and the transaction with MetroPCS that we have announced, we have now added the final piece to the jigsaw to boost the competitiveness of T-Mobile USA sustainably,” said René Obermann.
Jim Darlymple of The Loop was able to secure a statement from Apple representative Natalie Harrison confirming the press release. While there was no specific mention of which Apple products T-Mobile will carry, it’s a safe bet that the iPhone will be included within the assortment of Apple products. It’s no secret that T-Mobile has been losing a lot of customers on account of its iPhone-less product line, so you better believe that T-Mobile will do all it can to get Apple’s crown jewel into its product lineup.
