This is the best photo I’ve seen of the stranded Shell drilling rig and the peril it faces from pounding waves off the coast of Alaska. And since we have access to Reuters, I thought I’d share.
Also,this story from the Anchorage Daily News provides details about the so-far futile attempts to retrieve the rig. And if you read the comments you’ll see allegations that the primary reason the rig was being exposed to this kind of accident was that Shell wanted to save a few million dollars.
