Bruce Schneier agrees with me, when it comes to intelligence gathering where the state isn't, business is

Yesterday I wrote The new Stasi: Your boss and your neighbors join the surveillance state and I find that over on Bruce Schneier’s blog, he’s of much the same opinion:

“The primary business model of the Internet is built on mass surveillance, and our government’s intelligence-gathering agencies have become addicted to that data. Understanding how we got here is critical to understanding how we undo the damage.”

Well worth reading … after you’ve read my post, that is …
