This video demonstrates the configuration of Cisco's AutoQoS Enterprise feature on a router.
In our last QoS video, we examined AutoQoS VoIP for a router, which helped optimize a router interface for voice traffic. However, in large enterprise networks, we’re usually concerned about appropriate quality of service settings for multiple applications, not just voice. That’s where AutoQoS enterprise can help us out.
AutoQoS Enterprise goes through a discovery phase (which should last at least two or three days) where it gets to know the traffic patterns on your network. Then, based on those traffic patterns, AutoQoS Enterprise can recommend a very robust QoS configuration, which you have the option of applying to an interface.
