Unlocking the mystery behind MDS
Unlocking the secrets around Microsoft’s Master Data Services is proving to be very challenging. The underlying data model is fairly straightforward, but actually putting this together to solve business needs is where the challenge begins. Very little has been done with this capability so far (in the industry or by Microsoft). In an attempt to unlock the mysteries, we have put together a working MDS application (hub and spoke MDM prototype) that exercises many of the features around this new capability. In subsequent postings, we will publish a few key samples from our work that will, we hope, start providing insights into how to “make this real” for you. Stay tuned.. we will start with the data model and the services that interact with that data model.
