On Tuesday Apple announced its annual European-only iTunes promotion where they company will be giving away free content from December 26th through January 6th. The content ranges from free songs to music videos and even apps, TV episodes, and movies. Once made available, each piece of content will be available for a 24-hour window.

But now it appears that Apple has switched things up a bit as we head into one of the busier holiday shopping periods of the year. On Tuesday Apple announced its annual European-only iTunes promotion where the company will be giving away free content from December 26th through January 6th. The content ranges from free songs to music videos and even apps, TV episodes, and movies. Once made available, each piece of content will be available for a 24-hour window.

In conjunction with the promotion, Apple also released a 12 Days of Chirstmas app for the iPhone and iPad that alerts users, via push notifications, as to what happens to be free on each particular day.
