System Center Opalis Integration Server 6.3 Unleashed planned for 2011
Late last year, Microsoft purchased Opalis. Opalis Integration Server provides an automation platform for orchestrating and integrating IT tools to drive down the cost of one’s datacenter operations while improving the reliability of IT processes. The software enables organizations to automate best practices–such as those found in ITIL and MOF–by using workflow processes that coordinate the System Center platform and other management tools to automate incident response, change and compliance, and service lifecycle management processes.
Just over a month ago, Microsoft’s “Opalis Guys,” Mark Gosson and Charles Joy, approached me about the possibility of adding an Opalis book to the Unleashed series. I’m happy to say this is now on its way to becoming a reality. System Center Opalis Integration Server 6.3 Unleashed will provide in-depth reference and technical information about Opalis 6.3 as well as information on orchestrating with System Center and third party products through integration packs.
In addition to Mark and Charles, System Center MVPs Pete Zerger, Marcus Oh, and David Allen are contributing to the book.
