Enjoy the season and get ready for lots of open source in 2011

This has been quite an exciting and learning experience for me here on Network World this year. It is hard to believe I have been blogging and podcasting here for most of the year already. Thanks much to Julie Bort, Jim Caruso, Keith Shaw and all of the folks here at Network World for giving me the chance to speak my mind. I am winding down for the holidays and won’t probably be posting anything until the New Year.  So let me take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season and all of the best for 2011.  Thanks for reading and commenting on my posts, even if you don’t agree with what I say.  Will try to do a better job in 2011.

I am already recording and doing a lot of interviews to kick off 2011. I am excited by the landscape for open source in 2011. Some of the themes that I will be writing on in 2011 are:

  • Open Source as the true enabler of the cloud
  • Commercial Open Source business models flourishing
  • Non-software uses of the Open Source method making a difference
  • The patent/licensing issues continue
  • and of course anything else that tickles my fancy!

Happy Holidays and see you all next year!

It’s 30 years since John Lennon was taken from us.  Enjoy his music!
