No major requirements but a lot of little updates
I have been reading and giving feedback on the 2.0 version of the PCI standard last since January. Being on the PCI board of advisors means that I got to see and give input directly to the PCI Council as the new version was being put together over the last year. Overall I’m fairly pleased with the outcome of the final published version. Sure we didn’t get some of the things I would have liked but that is expected. Last week Christian Janoff and I put on a PCI 2.0 update webinar where we went through the change highlights and the information supplements. Supplements like point-to-point encryption roadmap, tokenization and virtualization are discussed.
