Steve Jobs spotted on Apple campus, said to be working on next-gen iPad and iPhone

in a piece of news that should reassure Apple investors even more, Apple CEO Steve Jobs was recently spotted on Apple's Cupertino campus as well as out and about in Palo Alto.

Shares of Apple may have dropped when CEO Steve Jobs announced that he’d be taking a temporary leave of absence in order to attend to his health, but the stock quickly rebounded and has been on a tear ever since, bolstered in part by strong earnings and the promise of an iPad 2 and iPhone 5 in the pipeline. Earlier today, for instance, shares of Apple reached an all-time closing high, finishing at $359.90 before the close of the bellcorroborated news of Jobs’ presence on Apple’s campus last week and noted that the Apple co-founder continues to work on upcoming iPad and iPhone projects from his Palo Alto home. 

And in a piece of news that should reassure Apple investors even more, Jobs has recently been spotted on Apple’s Cupertino campus as well as out and about in Palo Alto. Banking consultant Matthew Cross spotted Jobs at Apple HQ about two weeks ago nothing that the CEO had a “healthy spring in his step” and that he was looking in good shape and spirits.

While Steve Jobs is by and large the public face of Apple, the company as a whole comprises tens of thousands of skilled employees, from engineers to seasoned executives. So while it’s reassuring to hear that Jobs is back in the mix of things, one of Steve Jobs’ under-appreciated accomplishments is that he’s assembled a strong foundation of talented employees that will continue to operate under the guidelines of Jobs’ product philosophy long after he retires.
