The comic strip xkcd has an amusing take on the naming of servers … and children.
I’ve never had to name a server; not part of my job description. But I did play a supporting role in the naming of three children, all of whom were born on the same day. I found that expecting triplets made the naming negotiation somewhat easier in that we both were able to have our first mutually acceptable choices, which seemed to minimize the haggling over the third one.
I have no idea whether this dynamic applies if you’re naming three servers.
