Apple last week debuted 3 new iPhone ads that refreshingly deviate from the tried and true “There’s an app for that” formula.

The first one is called “On Hold” and showcases how the versatile iPhone is perfect for performing other tasks when you find yourself stuck on hold during a phone call. In a previous ad, remember that AT&T recently highlighted the same functionality while pointing out that Verizon’s CDMA network doesn’t support simultaneous web browsing and voice chatting.

The second of Apple’s new iPhone commercials is called “First Step” and highlights how easy it is to use the iPhone to record and edit video, and subsequently share it with friends and family.

The last of Apple’s trifecta is called “Family Travel”.
