Chadwick, a 13-year Cisco vet, will be security company's new CFO
McAfee this week picked up a Cisco executive to be its new CFO. Jonathan Chadwick, a 13-year Cisco veteran, will replace Rocky Pimentel, who had joined McAfee in 2008 as CFO and COO, according to this dispatch from the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.
Chadwick will step into a hornets’ nest stirred by McAfee’s recent Windows XP anti-virus update debacle, which caused widespread disruption of corporate and consumer PCs.
In his most recent role at Cisco, Chadwick was senior vice president and CFO, Global Customer Markets. He managed finance operations for all of Cisco’s key business segments – enterprise, service provider, commercial, consumer and small business. He also served as corporate controller, and oversaw the corporate finance and planning group during at Cisco, according to the SV/SJ Business Journal report.
Chadwick joined Cisco in 1997 from accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand.
Pimentel announced his retirement from McAfee in February. He will remain with the company into the third quarter to help in the executive transition.
