Mozilla announces 2010 T-shirt design winner. You can only get one if you donate to Drumbeat.
Mozilla has announced the winner of its 2010 T-shirt contest, and the five runners-up. The winning shirt was designed by Mozilla community member “foxyboy” and is available only to Mozilla donors, folks that contribute $75 or more to the Mozilla Drumbeat Open Web Fund.
The fund may be something you want to contribute to — T-shirt or not. Its mission “is dedicated to support initiatives that will grow and protect Internet freedom.” Projects include a project to create subtitles for videos, privacy icons and the creation of a curriculum for open Web developers.
But, as I’ve been on a kick lately researching art dedicated to the open source message, let’s get back to the T-shirt. This is the design that won the most votes (336). Do you like it?
Here is my favorite two of the runners up. This one is called Create a Big Idea and was designed by “dgwhite” (164 votes).
This one is called Decorative Dino and was designed by egirldesign (145 votes).
But there were a whopping 738 designs submitted for the contest. Mozilla folks selected their favorite five for the voting. Here are three designs that, I personally, would have liked to see make it to the semi-final voting process.
