Desktop virtualization is on the rise, with more than 22% of organizations now using it to replace thick-client desktops. Why? Lower costs, simplified support for distributed workers, greater resiliency, and easier provisioning and management. Remarkably almost half of companies have quantified a positive benefit to desktop virtualization. With most IT budgets under pressure, virtualization continues to emerge as a way to reduce total cost of desktop support.
