This is my first post ever about an accordion performance. I would expect that it will be my last one, too. So, do yourself a favor — if you have a spare three minutes — and watch/listen to this YouTube clip of a teenage boy making an accordion do the seemingly impossible. If you’re not 100% satisfied, I promise to refund your money.
One caveat: I have zero experience with the accordion, or for that matter, any musical instrument more complex than air guitar. However, the professional skeptic in me can’t let go of the suspicion that the performance is a fake, even though a fair number of self-described accordion players commenting on YouTube have offered up their praises without expressing similar concern. Nevertheless, if you have genuine expertise on the matter and want to call BS, please give me a holler.
