
Tech Trader Daily is reporting that some analysts have trimmed back predictions for Cisco’s earnings for the fiscal year. The company is expected to report its Q2 earnings on Feb. 4. In November, Cisco had warned that Q2 revenue would be down between 5% and 10% from a year ago, reports Tech Trader, and that Wall Street analysts are expecting a 8.3% drop in revenue to $9 billion.
UBS analyst Nikos Theodosopoulos adjusted his 2009 earnings per share estimate to $1.38 from $1.42, saying that the sales guidance for the April quarter would decline another 3% to 5%, according to Tech Trader. Meanwhile, Scott Coleman of Morgan Stanley cut his ’09 EPS from $1.33 to $1.26, reports Tech Trader.
