Amusing to read the comments Princeton prof Ed Felten is getting in response to his invitation to readers of the Freedom to Tinker blog to take part in a research survey regarding web browser installations. Felten writes that people can participate by simply clicking on a link. One reader suspects this is all a test to see whether people will even do it. Others acknowledge they are paranoid. Others question whether the Princeton ethics board has gotten wind of this. And still others say, hey, I trust this blog, so why not.
I wimped out and decided not to click on it myself…
